Brazil posted a record July trade surplus of $8.1 billion, official data showed on Monday, exactly in line with the median consensus forecast in a Reuters poll of economists, and up sharply from a $2.4 billion surplus a year ago.
Exports totaled $19.6 billion and imports were $11.5 billion, the Economy Ministry said, adding that the accumulated January-July surplus of $30.4 billion was up from a $28.1 billion surplus in the same period last year. (Reporting by Jamie McGeever; editing by Jonathan Oatis)
