Brazilian coffee exports rise 9 pct in February 2021

On Tuesday, Mar. 9 the Coffee Exporters Council (Cecafe) reported that Brazil, the world’s foremost coffee maker and exporter, exported an amount of 3,279,558 bags of 60-kg coffee last month of 2021, a rise by 9 percent from the very month last year (3,008,096 bags).

Based on figures issued by the trade group located in Sao Paulo, it was the greatest February since 2017. Cecafe president Nicolas Rueda noted: “Brazilian exports remained solid.”

The Cecafe stated that last month’s invoices expanded 4.7 percent annually, reaching USD423.7 million.

The key destinations for Brazil’s coffee are the United States, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Japan, Colombia and Russia.
